Most of us who have already reached the shores of adulthood, if asked to recall childhood memories would probably refer back to playing outdoors in natural spaces. This might have included include climbing trees, building dens, picking fruit, paddling in rivers, catching bugs and many more experiences specific to our own particular childhood. It is beyond contention that those currently embarked on the voyage of childhood, are, in general, less likely to be afforded such ‘wild play’ experiences.
